Sleek i-Divine Ultra Mattes Darks

This is my very first palette from Sleek MakeUP. I am a sucker for matte eyeshadows and matte lipsticks and grabbed this as soon as I saw it on my favorite online shop Digital Traincase . It so hard to find matte eyeshadows on most palettes and knowing I could get all matte in one palette I have to grab one.

Colors are written on the protective plastic sheet but I might throw that later on.

I suggest you write down the eyeshadow names in your notes (if you ever loose the plastic covering) just incase you might need them for a tutorial.

My first Eyeshadow Palette by Fashion 21

RAINBOW OF EYESHADOW COLORS

What I like:

Very pigment.

Creamy texture.

Blendable, velvet texture.

Lightly shimmered.

Very good color selection.

Good size mirror.

Comes with a velvet pouch.

Retails for only P375 (around $9)

What I dislike:

A lot of shimmery colors. Not enough matte shades.

Doesn't come with blending brush, only applicator, making it difficult to blend colors together.

Cheap plastic packaging (except for the velvet pouch).

No names on the eyeshadows only numbers.

Repurchase: Probably yes, but with a palette full of matte colors.

Recycling: Mascara to Eyebrow fixer

As a make-up lover, I feel bad to have to throw away stuff that I think are way of its time and still has such full amount inside. I haven't been using one of my favorite mascara lately and it has dried up, and as per my memory I've purchased it about a year ago. We all know we have top through away makeup that has gone bad especially products we use near the eye area like mascaras. But I found a way not to throw this baby and instead use it on my eyebrow which is less sensitive compared to the eye. With the product already having a brown color, I tried to put it on my eyebrows to see how well it goes. Indeed because of its formulation suited intentionally for the lashes, it helped fixed my brows in place and gave a bit of color, making my brows look a bit fuller which in turn makes you look a bit younger.

Good color pay-off. 

Reasonably priced at Php 129.25 @ SM department stores.

Cheaper in the U.S. @ $1 each.

Nice packaging as you can see the color without opening the cap.

Glides on smoothly.

CONs:

Classy was a bit dry, I have to use a lip balm.

 Reapply every 2-3 hours. It's okay with me.

Repurchase: Yes. Probably with other colors.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies and Banana Muffins

Ingredients:

5 large bananas

1/2 cup melted butter

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1 1/2 cup flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup sugar

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius)

2. Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl (flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon). Add sugar and salt, set aside.

3. Mash bananas and add vanilla, melted butter, and whisked egg.

4. Add in dry ingredients and mix well to from a batter.

5. Spoon on to muffin cups (half filled) lined with waxed paper or foil. 

6. Baked in the oven for 20-30 minutes or until brown and tooth pick is dry when you try to insert it on the center of the muffin.

7. Cool for 5-10 minutes on the muffin trays before removing. Serve and Enjoy!

1 cup oatmeal

1 1/2 cup flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup raisins

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius)

2. Sift dry ingredients together in a bowl (flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon). Add sugar and salt.

3. Add in oatmeal, melted butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly and finally add raisins. 

4. Scoop a spoonful on to cookie tray 1 inch apart.

5. Baked in the oven for 20-30 minutes or until edges become brown .

6. Cool for 5-10 minutes on the cookie tray before removing. Serve and Enjoy!

Additional tips:

Replace bananas with grated carrots to make carrot muffins with the banana muffin recipe.

You can add walnuts or almonds on the oatmeal cookies recipe instead of raisins.

Refrigerate the oatmeal cookies after cooling to making it firmer and crispier.

Muffins and cookies good for 3 days on room temperature and 1 week when refrigerated. Freezing them makes it last a lot longer.

Revlon Superlustrous Matte Lipsticks: Pink Pout and Mauve It Over

Description: Velvety, smooth, easy glide lipsticks with a matte finish.

Price: Php 475 at SM department store

What I like:

• These lipsticks have velvety texture that feels so good on the lips.
• Color stays on for quite sometime say 2-4 hours (without eating or drinking).
• No scent. Cool packaging, similar to MAC lipsticks. Cap is see-through at the top to see color instantly without having to unscrew the cover.

Don't like:
Color pay-off. Maybe I chose the wrong color for my skin tone. Pink Pout washed me out and a bit too milky pink on me. Mauve it over is the exact color of my lips so you won't notice I even wear a lipstick.

Repurchase:
Probably yes because I like the feel on my lips, but probably a darker or brighter color that would complement my very pale skin.
